Join the Weatherhaven Team

Weatherhaven is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of deployable shelter systems and infrastructure solutions. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technician to join our Production Team. This role is responsible for operating fabric cutting and welding equipment to manufacture high-quality components that meet customer and company standards.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with production equipment, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

Operate fabric CNC cutting equipment to accurately cut materials according to drawings, patterns, and work instructions.
Operate RF (Radio Frequency) and hot air welding equipment to assemble and weld fabric components.
Read and interpret drawings, patterns, specifications, and work orders.
Verify material dimensions, quality, and specifications before and during production.
Perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting as required.
Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet workmanship and dimensional requirements.
Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records.
Perform routine equipment cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Support other production activities as required.
Perform other duties as required.

Health and Safety

Reporting hazards/unsafe working conditions
Following all PPE/Safe Working instructions
Understand responsibilities related to Provincial standard

Environmental

Work to achieve environmental objectives
Understand how your tasks/activities impact the environment
Report on Environmental concerns

Qualifications & Skills

Experience operating CNC equipment, RF welding equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery is considered an asset.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, patterns, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable using computers and navigating production software.
Ability to use measuring tools accurately.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
