Full job description

Island Motorcycle Company is growing, and we need to hire Red Seal Motorcycle Technicians!

We are looking to add a Red Seal technician to our service department immediately. The role requires the applicant to have one year of completed schooling in the field, and valid motorcycle license. This position is full time and pay is based on experience.

The job:

Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
Test-drive motorcycles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Writers so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
Red Seal
Valid driver's license and motorcycle license

The requirements:

Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification is an asset
Apprentice Service Technician certification is an asset
High degree of accuracy, sound judgment, and attention to detail
Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently
Knowledge of rules surrounding automotive safety, best practices, and consumer protection
Excellent organizational and realistic time management skills
Ability to handle rapidly increasing workload
Ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative
Driver’s license in good standing and clean driver’s abstract required
Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions

Shifts: Tuesday – Saturday, 8 hour shifts!
