Blue Maxx Basement Systems is currently hiring Construction Labourers for repair and build projects. We are a construction company based in Winnipeg — specializing in foundation repair, new foundations, structural repairs, and helical piles.
This is physical outdoor work. You’ll be in trenches, in the dirt, and in Manitoba weather. Most of the day is shovel work, moving material, and staying on your feet. If you’ve done hard physical work before and want to learn foundation repair, we’ll train you.
Duties Include:
- Site prep, demo, and excavation support for foundation work
- Installing waterproof membrane, weeping tile, and concrete repair products
- Assisting with helical pile installation, wall bracing, and structural repairs
- Setting ICF and other concrete forms
- Loading and unloading material and equipment
- Running shovels, wheelbarrows, power tools, and compactors
- Keeping the site clean and safe, and working to the lead hand’s plan
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation to Oak Bluff location
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stay on your feet through a full shift
- Comfortable working outdoors in Manitoba conditions, including heat, rain, and cold
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- Able to understand and follow safe work procedures
Considered an asset:
- Experience with foundation repair, concrete repair, carpentry, or waterproofing
- Experience using skid steer, excavator, etc.
- Concrete forming or ICF experience
- Confined space, first aid certification, or other certifications
Other Details:
- $20–25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM start with variable end times
- We are located at 3300 McGillivray Blvd, Oak Bluff. Most jobs are in the greater Winnipeg area, with work throughout southern Manitoba.
- Work with a small crew using industry-leading foundation systems. Training will be provided.
