This a seasonal full-time position that has an anticipated start date as soon as possible with an end date of approximately September 15th, 2026. Contract length is subject to change based on the location and the demands of the season.
Requirements for Chef Tournant:
·Must be available immediately.
· Red Seal Certification or equivalent.
· Excellent kitchen management and leadership and mentoring skills.
· Computer literacy including a strong grasp of Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel.
· Food Safe Level 1
· WHIMIS Certification preferred.
· Ability to lift 30lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
· Remote lodge experience preferred.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure.
· Strong butchery and knife skills.
· Pastry and baking experience.
· Fine Dining Experience.
· Experience with modern cooking techniques.
· Availability and commitment of the entire operational season.
· Strong multitasking skill set.
· Can do attitude.
· Skilled in the following aspects, pasty production, breakfast cookery, butchery, vegetable and starch preparation.
Duties of Chef Tournant:
· This will be a rotating position through the work week. This position will work a multitude of positions not limited to the following, pastry, breakfast, staff, kitchen support.
· Prepare menu items for guests using standard recipes in an efficient manner to standard.
· Prepare ingredients, set up stations, and stock supplies.
· Assist with provision ordering.
· Ability to support all culinary positions.
· Clean, sanitize, sweep, mop, dishwash, and complete all cleaning duties as required.
· Supporting of employee training, onboarding, coaching, and mentoring.
· Supporting of production, preparation and presentation is always of the highest standard.
· Always maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
Working at Langara Island Lodge:
· Meals and single room staff accommodation are included in the employment package!
· Flights to and from Vancouver.
· While living at the resort you will have opportunities to fish, hike, forage, explore, and build lifelong friendships.
· 6-day work week with one scheduled day off per week.

Pay: $4,900.00-$5,000.00 per month
