Full job description

Field Service Technician - CNC Machines - Edmonton, AB.

What you’ll be working on: CNC machines and lathes at customer sites

Where: Based in Edmonton with some travel to SK and MB

Type of role: Permanent field service position with a national equipment distributor

We’re looking for a professional mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting and knows CNC machinery. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and installing CNC equipment at customer sites.

Wage: $70k - $90k + depending on experience + OT + monthly incentive based on billable hours

What You’ll Do:

Install, troubleshoot and repair CNC machines and lathes at customer sites
Install and commission new and used equipment
Identify faults involving mechanical components, wiring, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems
Perform routine service and preventative maintenance
Document maintenance and service work

What You Bring:

Background in machining, industrial maintenance, millwright work, or mechanical repair
Strong troubleshooting abilities and familiarity with CNC machines and lathes
Comfortable reading technical drawings and wiring diagrams
Experience using testing tools, gauges, and hand tools
Excellent communication skills and professionalism when interacting with customers
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
Familiarity with FANUC controls preferred
Valid driver’s licence with a good driving history
Willingness to travel when required
