Mac’s II Agencies is seeking a Power Quotations Specialist to join our Power Division at our Coquitlam office.
In this role, you will prepare accurate, competitive, and technically sound quotations for electrical distribution equipment and transformer projects. You will work closely with electrical distributors, contractors, engineers, end users, manufacturer partners, and our internal technical and sales teams to develop solutions that meet project specifications, timelines, budgets, and site requirements.
The successful candidate is highly organized, technically curious, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities with competing deadlines. They have a keen eye for detail, a strong commercial mindset, and the confidence to follow projects from the initial request for quotation through bid submission, follow-up, and order handoff.
-
Manage inbound quotation requests from our established customer base, including day-to-day pricing inquiries and larger commercial, institutional, and industrial project bids.
-
Review electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, single-line diagrams, addenda, and other tender documents to identify project requirements and quoting opportunities.
-
Prepare quotations for transformers and accessories, including standard, modified, and custom-engineered solutions.
-
Work with customers, manufacturer partners, and internal technical experts to clarify specifications, identify approved products, and develop practical alternatives.
-
Request and evaluate vendor pricing, lead times, freight requirements, commercial terms, and technical information.
-
Ensure quotations are accurate, complete, competitive, and submitted within established deadlines.
-
Clearly identify inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, alternates, and other commercial or technical considerations within each quotation.
-
Coordinate revisions in response to addenda, scope changes, value-engineering requests, and customer feedback.
-
Follow up consistently on quotations and project bids to understand status, address outstanding questions, and improve close rates.
-
Support the transition of successful quotations to order processing, project management, and technical teams.
-
Develop a strong working knowledge of our manufacturers, products, applications, and the electrical distribution and transformer market.
-
Contribute to demand generation by identifying product opportunities and recommending complementary solutions and services.
-
Maintain accurate and timely records in the company’s CRM, helping improve the customer experience and our understanding of market needs.
-
Build strong, trusted relationships with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues.
-
Participate in product training and pursue ongoing technical and professional development.
-
Experience preparing quotations, estimates, or project bids in the electrical industry is strongly preferred.
-
Experience working for an electrical contractor, electrical distributor, manufacturer, or manufacturer’s representative is an asset.

Education or experience in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology is an asset.
-
Familiarity with transformers, electrical distribution equipment, electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents is an asset.
-
Strong numerical ability and attention to technical and commercial detail.
-
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-
High energy, initiative, and a determined approach to problem-solving.
-
Strong organizational, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical compliance, customer value, and competitive pricing.
-
Confidence communicating with customers, contractors, engineers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.
-
Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite.
-
Experience with a CRM platform such as Salesforce or HubSpot is an asset.
-
A commitment to continuous learning, teamwork, and outstanding customer service.
