ABOUT THE ROLE

Purpose

The Logistics Planneris responsible foranalyzing and managing one or more assigned Sysco Site’s Inbound Logistics network in support of our overall service and financialobjectives. This includesoptimizingthe inbound supply chain to create the most efficient means of transportation to reduce freight expenses and maximize profitability. Additionally, this role is tasked with the identification, analysis, and implementation of opportunities to increase Sysco controlled cases and shared loads across Sites, as well as promote service level and overall process improvements.

Responsibilities

Plan and tender optimized inbound loads via Manhattan TMS to our established carrier partners

Maximize overall load fill percentages & shipment profitability onlogisticscontrolled inbound freight

Monitor and manage inbound carrier performance

Analyze and present new freight opportunities to increase site-controlled pickups

Setup & implement new supplier pickup conversions / freight programs

Develop andmaintainstrong working relationships with Merchandising and Operations Teams

Provide OS&D reporting to carrier and Merchandising team within48 hours

Manage & mitigate carrier and supplier freight claims in collaboration with related cross functional teams

Manage CORA workflow and resolve various freight/allowance AP issues as needed

Facilitate border crossing requirements as needed

Collaborate with the CSC Logistics leadership team for problem resolution and emergency escalations

Work with local operations team(s) to resolve detained carriers

Validate detention times within 48hrtime frameand enter in TMS detention module

Provide requested information to the inbound scheduler toassistwith appointments forlogisticsloads

Create backhaul CPU reporting as needed and confirm that backhaul pickups were completed

Work with receiving to balance Logistics loads on the inbound schedule

Provide coverage and/orassistancefor other Logistics Planners/Sites/Regions

Comply withSysco’s Food Safety Policies to ensure food safety, quality, and legal requirements are met

Skills

2+ years of experience in distribution,logistics, routing, operations, and/or procurement

Exposure to transportation financials, KPIs, freight claims, etc.

High school diploma minimum

College/university degree in Supply Chain / Logistics related field a plus

Intermediateproficiencyin Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Experience with Manhattan TMS or similar Logistics management software program

Transportation finance acumen

Adept understanding of transportation rules and regulations

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Capable of managing competing priorities

Ability to resolve routine problems and questions independently

Negotiation and mitigation skills

Strong mathematical and analytical ability

Exceptional organization and attention to detail

Education

Bachelor's degree in related discipline or anadditional4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

Le/La planificateur(trice) logistique est responsable d’analyser et de gérer le réseau logistique entrant d’un ou de plusieurs sitesSyscoassignés, afin de soutenir nos objectifs globaux de service et de performance financière. Cela comprend l’optimisation de la chaîne d’approvisionnement entrante afin de créer les moyens de transport les plus efficaces, de réduire les coûts de transport et de maximiser la rentabilité. De plus, ce rôle consiste à identifier, analyser et mettre en œuvre des occasions d’accroître les volumes contrôlés parSyscoet les chargements partagés entre les sites, ainsi qu’à promouvoir l’amélioration des niveaux de service et des processus.

Responsabilités

Planifier et attribuer des chargements entrants optimisés via Manhattan TMS auprès de nos transporteurs partenaires

Maximiser le taux de remplissage des chargements et la rentabilité des expéditions contrôlées par la logistique

Surveiller et gérer la performance des transporteurs entrants

Analyser et présenter de nouvelles opportunités de fret pour augmenter les ramassages contrôlés par le site

Mettre en place et déployer de nouveaux programmes de ramassage fournisseurs / conversion de fret

Développer et maintenir de solides relations de travail avec les équipes de marchandisage et des opérations

Fournir les rapports OS&D aux transporteurs et à l’équipe de marchandisage dans un délai de 48 heures

Gérer et atténuer les réclamations de fret des transporteurs et fournisseurs en collaboration avec les équipes interfonctionnelles concernées

Gérer le flux de travail CORA et résoudre divers problèmes de comptes fournisseurs liés au fret/allocations au besoin

Faciliter les exigences de passage à la frontière, au besoin

Collaborer avec l’équipe de direction logistique CSC pour la résolution de problèmes et les situations d’urgence

Travailler avec les équipes d’opérations locales pour résoudre les cas de transporteurs en attente

Valider les temps d’attente dans un délai de 48 heures et les saisir dans le module de détention du TMS

Fournir les informations requises au planificateur des entrées pour soutenir la prise de rendez-vous des chargements logistiques

Produire des rapports CPU de retour (backhaul) au besoin et confirmer que les ramassages ont été effectués

Collaborer avec la réception afin d’équilibrer les chargements logistiques dans l’horaire des arrivages

Offrir du soutien ou une couverture pour d’autres planificateurs logistiques, sites ou régions

Respecter les politiques de sécurité alimentaire deSyscoafin d’assurer la conformité aux exigences de qualité et légales

Compétences

Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience en distribution, logistique, transport, opérations et/ou approvisionnement

Exposition aux aspects financiers du transport, indicateurs de performance (KPI), réclamations de fret, etc.

Diplôme d’études secondaires (minimum)

Diplôme collégial ou universitaire en chaîne d’approvisionnement / logistique (atout)

Maîtrise intermédiaire de Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Expérience avec Manhattan TMS ou un logiciel similaire de gestion logistique

Bonne compréhension des aspects financiers liés au transport

Excellente connaissance des règles et réglementations du transport

Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et verbale

Capacité à gérer des priorités concurrentes

Aptitude à résoudre de façon autonome des problèmes et questions courants

Formation

Baccalauréat dans une discipline connexe ou quatre (4) années supplémentaires d’expérience pertinente en remplacement du diplôme.
