Field execution in a nuclear facility is a different experience from most industrial environments. Work has to be planned to a level of detail that accounts for every access point, every hold point, every material movement, and every potential interference. If you have done this work — led modifications, coordinated trades in a protected area, managed a field team through installation and commissioning — your experience is directly applicable to some of Ontario's most active programs right now.
Raise is building a pipeline of Field Project Leads and Modification Team Leaders for contract opportunities supporting major refurbishment and modification programs at nuclear and power generation facilities in Ontario. This is not a live posting for a single role. Apply once, and we will reach out when something matches your background.
About the Opportunity
The Pickering Refurbishment is moving into the execution phase in 2027 — a multi-billion dollar program involving hundreds of modifications across all units. This includes retube and feeder replacement, boiler replacement, turbine generator work, balance of plant, and facilities and infrastructure upgrades. Each of these project bundles requires field leads and modification team leaders who can manage the day-to-day execution of complex work in a live nuclear environment. The Darlington SMR construction adds further demand for field-experienced professionals who can bridge the gap between engineering and the work face.

Why Apply Now
Execution roles ramp up quickly once programs move from definition to construction. The professionals placed in these roles tend to be known quantities — people whose field experience has already been assessed and whose site clearances are in process or in place. Applying now means we can do that work ahead of the ramp rather than during it.
Experience in nuclear, heavy industrial, power generation, or other regulated construction environments is a strong asset. Candidates with existing OPG site access or nuclear security clearance are especially encouraged to apply.
Location: Pickering, Darlington, Tiverton — primarily onsite
Contract Length: Typically 12 to 24 months, with strong likelihood of extension
