Job Description:
MTE Logistix LP is looking for a highly motivated Warehouse Dispatcher to join our team in Edmonton Alberta. This position accepts all appointment booking requests, prioritizes all client orders, books all delivery appointments, and organizes all receiving and shipping paperwork. This individual should have a broad range of customer focused skills and interests and be able to display a keen attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work as a team player is crucial and candidates must be able to manage multiple priorities. Having a general knowledge of the warehousing industry is a strong asset.
The Dispatcher will support and coordinate dispatch operations to ensure efficient and excellent service delivery across assigned service areas. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage changing priorities while maintaining safety and service standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment is required. The Dispatcher will also assist in training and mentoring team members, identifying process improvements, and addressing operational issues to support overall business objectives.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inbound (receiving) and outbound (shipping) transportation and complete all daily appointment logs.
- Daily use of EWM and ERP Central Component Software
- Greet and direct inbound drivers to assigned dock door and communicate new pick-up/delivery with warehouse.
- Receive and review all packing slips/waybills.
- Accept pick tickets/Bills of Lading, sort & prioritize for warehouse staff and communicate rush orders.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.
- Monitor routes, schedules, and job progress to ensure on-time service delivery.
- Communicate with customers regarding service updates, delays, and scheduling changes.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, records, and reports.
- Coordinate and address unexpected operational dispatch issues.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1 – 3+ years of experience within Dispatch Operations.
- Ability to remain composed and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
- Ability to perform under time constraints.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with a proactive mindset and keen problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have:
- 3PL experience.
- Experience with Warehouse Management System(s)
