DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Brand Innovation Lab ("BIL") is looking for a full-stack Art Director to create one-of-a-kind campaigns for a wide range of leading global brands across every advertising vertical. You'll partner with other multi-disciplinary creatives, solutions managers, producers, and software developers to create first-class full-funnel customer experiences across the "Amazon Canvas" (Prime Video, Alexa, Twitch, Live Sports, Amazon Music). You'll lead projects and own client relationships, focusing on creating work that benefits the end customer while expanding what's creatively possible—from brief to execution.
This role will use data, insights, and creativity to create campaign strategy and concepts, develop designs and the look and feel for experiences, as well as templates for never-before-done brand experiences that will solve customer problems, on and off Amazon platforms. You have strong conceptual, presentation, storytelling, and project management skills, as well as digital media expertise, and of course, a keen attention to detail.

Your portfolio should feature interesting, innovative, insight-driven campaigns and ideas that solve an advertiser problem through a variety of different media channels, including but not limited to video, social, digital (website design), activations, and outdoor.

Key job responsibilities

Concept, design, and execute innovative ads, campaigns, and experiences for global brands
Partner with other creatives, solutions managers, developers, strategists, and producers to create customer-focused solutions that deliver on advertiser objectives
Lead campaigns and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external agency partners
Deliver high-quality designs and exceptional art direction for campaigns across different Amazon touch points
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of Photoshop Suite, Figma, and AI tools
Bring a deep passion for understanding customers and making work that delivers results
Present ideas and concepts to clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders
Ideate across both traditional and non-traditional formats, with a proven ability to create new mediums for advertising
Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
Mentor and inspire junior designers and creatives

Partner with IMDb on how to create a reality content series for a travel brand
Invent a product that helps revolutionize cooking with a CPG brand
Present a campaign to brand clients and their partner media agency
Design a trivia experience for a FinServ brand using Prime Video titles
Review video edits for influencer product launch campaign
Innovate what's next on Amazon for our fashion advertisers

Brand Innovation Lab (BIL) is an award-winning team that conceptualizes and executes bespoke advertising experiences for global brands—including Nike, Purina, Gap, Santander, and P&G—who invest in media with Amazon Ads, scaling successful campaign elements as new products or features in existing products. Our global team of storytellers and innovators includes creatives, strategists, design technologists, engineers, producers, and more, collaborating to create customer-focused solutions across the Amazon canvas (Alexa, Twitch, Prime Video, Fire TV, etc.) that are customized to our advertisers' goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in marketing, brand advertising, media sales, or online advertising and close work with senior advertisers and agency stakeholders
6+ years of professional experience
Experience with Figma and the Adobe CS suite: XD, Photoshop, Illustrator. InDesign, Dreamweaver, Premiere and After Effects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of branding guidelines and corporate identity, visual design, print and digital layout design

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to improve health and well-being.
