We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to lead the full-stack design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-availability enterprise applications. In this role, you will translate complex business requirements and technical specifications into robust software solutions using modern frontend frameworks, Spring Boot microservices, and enterprise databases. Working closely with cross-functional technical leads, architects, and business stakeholders, you will build data-driven applications, optimize RESTful APIs, enforce secure coding standards, and ensure full compliance with digital accessibility guidelines.
Location: Toronto, ON (Fully Onsite – 5 days/week required)
Duration: 10-month contract.

Responsibilities
Translate business requirements and technical specifications into scalable, secure, and fully tested full-stack applications.
Design, build, and maintain responsive frontend interfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React/Angular).
Architect and implement backend microservices, RESTful APIs, and data access layers using Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate frameworks.
Design relational database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and optimize stored procedures using PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, and Azure Cosmos DB.
Conduct comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing cycles to ensure high application reliability and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical defects across development, testing, and production environments.
Support cloud deployment, system integration, data conversion, and migration activities.
Facilitate code reviews, design walkthroughs, and technical discussions across Agile delivery teams.
Ensure all application components adhere to security, performance, scalability, and digital accessibility (AODA/WCAG) standards.
Author detailed technical designs, programming specifications, and system support documentation.
Qualifications
Enterprise Software Seniority: 10+ years of hands-on experience in the design, development, deployment, and troubleshooting of n-tier enterprise applications (Strictly Required).
Frontend Framework Proficiency: Hands-on experience developing responsive web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks like React or Angular (Strictly Required).
Java Backend Ecosystem: Deep technical expertise in the Spring Boot framework, JPA, and Hibernate (Strictly Required).
Database & SQL Development: Strong proficiency in database design and SQL development, with solid expertise in PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, or Azure Cosmos DB (Strictly Required).
Architecture & Design Patterns: Proven expertise in application design, modern enterprise design patterns, deployment, and root-cause troubleshooting (Strictly Required).
Requirements Elicitation: Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and document technical requirements directly from business stakeholders (Strictly Required).
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Experience building cloud-native, internet-facing applications.
Familiarity with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and WCAG standards.
Experience with middleware, API gateways, or integration services..
