Full Stack Developer (On-Site)

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of web applications using Django, Python, and Django REST Framework.
- Collaborate closely with the frontend team to build responsive user interfaces using React.js.
- Assist with integrations for mobile applications using React Native.
- Support implementation of RESTful APIs and database interactions using Django ORM.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with guidance from senior developers.
- Participate in in-person code reviews, testing sessions, and team discussions.
- Assist with unit, integration, and E2E testing (Playwright or Selenium exposure is an asset).
- Contribute to debugging, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle in a collaborative on-site environment.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS; participate in infrastructure changes, CI/CD pipeline maintenance, and production troubleshooting.
Backend Skills:
- Working knowledge of Python and Django, gained through professional experience.
- Familiarity with Django REST Framework.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and SQL databases.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Exposure to E2E testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright or Selenium) is considered an asset.
Frontend Skills:
- Working knowledge of React.js, gained through professional experience.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles.
- Exposure to Redux or state management tools is an asset but not mandatory.
Infrastructure & Cloud Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on AWS experience in a professional environment (not certification-only).
- Practical experience with core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC/security groups, CloudWatch. Exposure to ECS/EKS, Lambda, or Elastic Beanstalk is an asset.
- Experience deploying and operating Django applications in a cloud environment — environment/secrets management, migrations against live databases, static/media asset storage, log and error monitoring.
- Working knowledge of Docker and container-based deployment.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar), including automated test and deploy stages.
- Understanding of infrastructure fundamentals: DNS, load balancing, TLS/certificates, backups, and basic cost awareness.
- Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) is an asset.

Prerequisite Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–4 years of professional full-stack development experience is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on AWS experience in a professional environment (not certification-only).
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.
