SURINTENDANT

L’OPPORTUNITÉ

Les Propriétés Scalia est à la recherche d'un Surintendant de construction expérimenté pour un nouveau projet. Dans notre vision de réinventer 18 quartiers d'ici 2040, nous avons besoin de professionnels passionnés qui peuvent aider à libérer le plein potentiel de nos projets de construction. Ce poste offre une occasion excitante de faire partie d'une entreprise avant-gardiste qui transforme le paysage urbain de Montréal grâce à un développement intelligent, efficace et qui repousse les limites.

RESPONSABILITÉS

Planifier et coordonner l'ensemble des activités de construction liées au projet en cours;
En collaboration avec l'équipe de gestion de projets, élaborer l'échéancier du projet et participer à la planification des travaux;
Développer et maintenir des relations exceptionnelles avec de nombreux sous-traitants pour assurer la fiabilité et la qualité de construction tout en assurant le respect des termes contractuels des sous-traitants;
Suivre les plans de construction et faire des suggestions concernant l'amélioration de l'efficacité, le contrôle des coûts et les détails de la conception finale;
Faire l'analyse des plans dans le but d'identifier les incohérences, la mauvaise coordination, etc. et de voir à ce que les détails requis pour coordination et la construction soient incorporés le plus tôt possible et de manière efficace aux plans, tant pour les condos, espaces commerciaux, espaces communs, garages, etc.;
Assurer le respect des échéanciers jusqu'à la fin des travaux (prêt à habiter);
Coordonner la livraison et l'inventaire des matériaux sur le site;
Veiller à ce que le chantier soit propre, organisé et sécuritaire;
Résoudre les problèmes qui surviennent en raison des conditions météorologiques défavorables, les urgences ou autres problèmes susceptibles de causer des retards;
Organiser des inspections de bâtiment au besoin et veiller à ce que les bonnes pratiques, normes et codes de construction en vigueur soient respectés;
Assurer la transmission au gestionnaire de projet de tous documents administratifs, tels que des divers bons de travails, slips de livraison, etc.

LE CANDIDAT

Minimum de 7 ans d'expérience pertinente en gestion de projets de construction.
Baccalauréat en génie de la construction, génie civil, génie mécanique ou autre diplôme inhérent à la construction.
Solides compétences en leadership avec la capacité de coordonner plusieurs équipes et sous-traitants.
Excellentes capacités de résolution de problèmes et de pensée critique qui s'alignent avec notre valeur "Travailler intelligemment".
Capacité à travailler en collaboration avec une attitude positive dans un environnement au rythme rapide.
Excellente capacité de planification et des échéanciers, de gestion des ressources et de résolution de problèmes, gestion budgétaire;
Connaissance des codes du bâtiment;
Compétence en lecture de dessins de construction et des détails;
Compétence avec les logiciels Procore, MS Excel, Word, Project;
Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Scalia Properties Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent for an upcoming project. As we work towards our vision of reinventing 18 neighborhoods by 2040, we need passionate professionals who can help unlock the full potential of our construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company that is transforming Montreal's urban landscape through smart, efficient, and boundary-pushing development.

RESPONSABILITIES

Plan and coordinate all construction activities related to ongoing projects;
Collaborate with the project management team to develop project schedules and participate in work planning;
Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with numerous subcontractors to ensure construction reliability and quality while ensuring compliance with subcontractor contractual terms;
Follow construction plans and make suggestions regarding efficiency improvements, cost control, and final design details;
Analyze plans to identify inconsistencies, poor coordination, etc., and ensure that details required for coordination and construction are incorporated as early and efficiently as possible into plans for condos, commercial spaces, common areas, garages, etc.;
Ensure schedules are respected until the completion of work (ready for occupancy);
Coordinate the delivery and inventory of materials on site;
Ensure the construction site is clean, organized, and safe;
Resolve problems that arise due to adverse weather conditions, emergencies, or other issues that may cause delays;
Organize building inspections as needed and ensure that good practices, standards, and current building codes are respected;
Ensure transmission of all administrative documents to the project manager, such as various work orders, delivery slips, etc.

COMPETENCIES & APTITUDES

Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in construction project management.
Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering or other construction-related diploma.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills that align with our "Work Smart" value.
Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent planning and scheduling skills, resource management and problem solving, budget management;
Knowledge of building codes;
Proficiency in reading construction drawings and details;
Proficiency with Procore, MS Excel, Word, Project;
Fluency in spoken and written French and English.
