Location: Toronto, ON

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details

Position Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 2 months (with potential for extension and conversion based on business needs and performance)
Pay Rate: C$50.00 C$60.00 / Hour (CAD)
Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, core business hours 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day; weekend work possible
Overtime: Yes, 100%
Travel Requirements: Not required

Job Summary

This contract Project Manager / Project Control Officer role supports augmented volume within the Global Security and Defence business unit, with a focus on cyber projects related to regulatory and audit work. The successful candidate will spend approximately 70% of their day in meetings and will interact primarily with internal stakeholders across the business. The contractor will not have access to any customer data. The team consists of five people with stakeholders across the business, and the organization offers a great work culture, a high-performing team dynamic, and strong opportunity to network and gain exposure across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain governance frameworks, processes, and reporting structures to track performance, enable transparency, and support decision-making.
Lead overall portfolio planning and execution, establish cadence, manage interdependencies, mitigate risks, and optimize resource allocation.
Translate team goals into actionable plans, monitor progress, adjust strategies, and ensure alignment with long-term objectives.
Design and deliver executive-ready materials and dashboards that clearly communicate progress, insights, and recommendations.
Build strong relationships between businesses and senior executives to influence outcomes and ensure strategic priorities are understood and executed.
Provide thought leadership and strategic recommendations, incorporating findings into programs for operational efficiency and long-term planning.
Respond effectively to ambiguity and last-minute changes, stay informed on emerging trends and regulatory changes, and evolve strategies as needed.
Conduct analysis and make recommendations to enhance capabilities, drive efficiencies, and support sustainable growth.

Education Requirements

Post-secondary education required degree or diploma

Required Experience

2+ years of Project Management or Analyst experience
Any project analyst / management background
Large enterprise or organization experience strongly preferred (lack of this experience is a disqualifying factor)

Nice-to-Have Experience

Prior TD contractor or full-time employee experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Core business hours, Monday Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Weekend work possible (rotation)
Overtime eligible at 100%
5 days per week on-site in Toronto, ON
Approximately 70% of the day spent in meetings

Interview process: 2 steps, both in person, panel format; approximately 45 minutes and 30 minutes respectively
Candidates with no large enterprise/organization experience, extended gaps in active employment (1+ year), a pattern of job hopping or short contracts, or planned vacations may be disqualified from consideration
