Full job description

Springwood Homes is looking for a punctual, conscientious, detail-oriented individual to fill the roll of Accounting and Payroll Administrator. This permanent bookkeeping position is for 3 days per week. There is potential for more days per week in the future.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Verifying employee timesheet data
Processing bi-weekly payroll including taxable benefits
Remitting source deductions
Submitting ROE’s
Administering the companies’ Health Care Spending Account
Submitting apprenticeship hours for employees
Processing and remitting WCB premiums
GST and PST remittances
Data entry and processing cheques for Accounts Payable
Data entry and processing Accounts Receivables
Account reconciliations
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare quarterly financial statements
Completion of all year end tasks including PIER review, T4’s and T5018’s
Preparing year end information for the external accountant and posting adjusting journal entries
Bookkeeping for several small numbered companies including intercompany transactions

Qualifications include:

Experience with Sage 50/Simply Accounting, Excel, Outlook & Word
Excellent time management and data entry skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Minimum 2 years full cycle bookkeeping experience
High school Diploma. Post secondary education in accounting is an asset.
