As a Design Centre Consultant, you’ll help create inspiring and memorable showroom experiences for architects, interior designers, homeowners, and their clients as they bring their spaces to life.
This is a relationship-driven role for someone who loves design, enjoys welcoming people, and takes pride in making every interaction feel thoughtful and effortless. You’ll guide clients through their design journey from the first conversation and product discovery through selection and order completion providing expertise, care, and confidence along the way.
The Design Centre Consultant plays an important role in bringing our brand experience to life. You’ll build lasting relationships with the design community, support clients with knowledgeable recommendations, maintain a beautifully curated showroom, and work alongside a collaborative team dedicated to creating exceptional experiences.
Client Experience & Design Guidance
- Welcome architects, designers, homeowners, and trade partners into the Design Centre and create a thoughtful, personalized experience for every visitor.
- Build trusted relationships by actively listening to understand each client’s vision, needs, preferences, and project goals.
- Provide knowledgeable design guidance and product recommendations that help clients make confident decisions and achieve their desired outcomes.
- Support clients throughout their entire journey, from initial inspiration and material selection through order completion and follow-up.
- Ensure every interaction is handled with care, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Develop strong relationships within the design community through outreach, networking, CEU sessions, and industry events.
Showroom Experience & Brand Presentation
- Maintain a welcoming, beautifully presented showroom that reflects our commitment to quality, design, and service.
- Keep displays, samples, and product information organized, current, and inspiring for clients and design partners.
- Contribute ideas that enhance the showroom experience, including displays, storytelling, product launches, and emerging design trends.
- Support events and initiatives that bring our brand and design community together.
Sales & Operational Excellence
- Contribute to showroom sales goals by building meaningful client relationships and helping customers find the right solutions for their projects.
- Manage appointments, client information, quotations, orders, and follow-up activities with accuracy and care.
- Maintain complete and current CRM records to support strong client relationships and business opportunities.
- Partner with Design Centre, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to create a seamless customer experience.
- Share customer insights, market trends, and product feedback to help continually improve our offerings and service.
Qualifications
- Experience in interior design, architectural products, luxury retail, showroom sales, or a related customer-focused environment.
- Experience working with architects, designers, builders, or trade professionals is an asset.
- A strong appreciation for design, materials, finishes, and the details that bring spaces together.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a natural ability to make people feel welcome and supported.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple client needs and priorities.
- Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Interior Design, Design, Business, or a related discipline is an asset.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the showroom for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move product samples and showroom materials up to 25 lbs for sample movement and showroom maintenance.
- Ability to bend, reach, and arrange product displays and merchandising materials as required.
- Ability to use computers, CRM systems, tablets, and other digital tools throughout the workday.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends, evenings, and special events as needed.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
