Job Title: Production Cook
Location: Vancouver, BC
Wage: $20.00–$24.00 per hour + tips
Job Type: Full-time Job Description: We are looking for a reliable, efficient production cook to join our kitchen team. This role focuses on high-volume batch cooking, prep production, and ingredient processing for our food truck and catering operations. We value consistency, speed, and a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities:

Execute batch cooking of sauces, stocks, and proteins according to standardized recipes
Process large volumes of ingredients (dicing, slicing, portioning) efficiently and consistently
Follow production schedules to ensure prep is completed on time for service and events
Label, date, and rotate all produced items following food safety protocols
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized production kitchen
Weigh and portion ingredients for catering orders and food truck restocks
Communicate inventory needs and shortages to the Lead Cook or Chef
Support catering and food truck teams with last-minute production requests as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience (production, prep, or line cooking)
High-volume batch cooking experience is a strong asset
Knife skills and speed are essential (consistent dicing, slicing, chopping)
Experience following standardized recipes and production sheets
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable transportation or ability to relocate to Vancouver, BC before starting (required)

Physical Requirements:

Able to stand for 8+ hours per shift
Able to lift and carry up to 25 kg (55 lbs) repeatedly (e.g., cases of stock, 20kg rice bags, large stock pots)
Able to bend, reach, and squat frequently for ingredient storage and equipment access
Comfortable working in a warm kitchen environment (production kitchen, not a food truck)
Manual dexterity for repetitive knife work and portioning
