We continue to grow through technological innovations, expanded product offerings, and the value-added services that have supported our customers over the years.

We are currently looking to hire our next great team members for the position of Shop Technician located in our Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Location.

Job description:

As a Shop Mechanic, you will use your mechanical expertise to support the operational needs of the branch while maintaining a strong focus on safety and professionalism. Our team of professionals is dedicated to ensuring that both company-owned and customer equipment remains in peak operating condition through a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and precise, detailed repairs.

Responsibilities:

Conduct all PM service requirements.
Repair equipment to the OEM regulated specifications,
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot, all fuel type systems, electrical and hydraulic systems.
Follow consistent and regular OEM schedule of repairs to various types of machinery.
Recondition and replace assorted parts on heavy equipment.
Diagnoses problem areas for potential wear and tear on equipment.
Maintain work area in a organized and clean manner at all times.
Follow all company and site safety procedures while at the branch.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills required

Ability to read and understand schematics of equipment for proper repairs, ability to read and understand warning labels on various types of equipment.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Understand the importance of time management skills.
Able to work independently or in a team setting.
Must posses solid written and verbal communication skills and able to perform basic computer skills required for the position.

Conditions of employment

Journeyman red seal ticket would be an asset.
Valid drivers license and clean drivers record.
