Job Summary

Treasured Beginnings Childcare Montessori is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) and Early Childhood Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 18 months to 6 years. You will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curricula and engaging activities that promote learning through play.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the developmental needs of children aged 18 months to 6 years.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued and respected.
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging curiosity and creativity through interactive learning experiences.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational program and share best practices.
Maintain organized classroom materials and resources.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education trends and best practices.

Qualifications

Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) certification from the College of Early Childhood Educators (Ontario) is required.
Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with young children (18 months to 6 years) in an educational setting.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles, with familiarity in Montessori methods being a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in basic computer operations for documentation and record keeping.
Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
Strong writing skills for lesson planning, documentation, and family communications.
