Job Description

Our client requires a Senior .NET Application Developer to develop software applications for one or more projects in a lead or senior capacity. They will be responsible for writing solutions that meet client requirements.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Experience assisting in the management of software development projects in a lead or senior developer role including requirements gathering, documenting software specifications, and tracking work items and bugs
Experience writing, modifying, integrating, and testing application source code against predefined specifications
Experience developing and maintaining web applications that adhere to modern web and security best practices
Experience working closely with project managers and business analysts on project planning and scheduling, and working closely with developers or other technical staff on the design, development, architecture or maintenance of software
Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and communicating technical problems, processes and solutions to both technical and non-technical staff
Experience developing reports, preparing manuals and writing other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software
Experience working with the .NET Framework
Experience with one or more of the following object-oriented programming languages: C# or Java
Experience with all the following web-oriented languages: JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience with one or more of the following structured query language variants: MS-SQL, MySQL, or PL/SQL

Desirables

Experience developing software using Visual Studio
Experience developing software under Git version control
Experience using JQuery and Bootstrap in web application development
Experience using MVC and Entity Framework in web application development
Experience working with grant or contract management systems
Experience working with client relationship management systems
Experience working with SharePoint
Experience working with Umbraco
Experience investigating and patching security vulnerabilities identified in web applications
