Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and adherence to safety standards to ensure efficient production and product integrity.

Duties

Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to blueprints and specifications
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for accurate fabrication
Utilize hand tools, calipers, and measuring devices to ensure precise dimensions and quality standards
Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment
Conduct quality inspections of finished parts to verify conformity with specifications
Assist with material handling using cranes, forklifts, or other equipment as needed
Follow safety protocols related to CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, and machining processes
Support assembly processes when required, ensuring seamless workflow across departments

Experience

Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, and welding techniques is highly desirable
Knowledge of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and quality inspection procedures
Ability to use calipers, hand tools, and other measuring instruments with accuracy
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
Prior experience with crane operation or forklift handling is a plus but not mandatory
Strong understanding of machining processes and manufacturing best practices

Pay: $19.04-$30.64 per hour
