ASCO Aerospace Canada is a division of Montana Aerospace, with our facility located in Delta, BC. We are looking for a Finisher to join our team at the Canadian operations.

Job Duties

Perform finishing operations on machined aircraft components using a variety of hand and power tools.
Perform edge breaking, de-burring, and blending of machined parts to specification.
Drill and ream parts as required by work instructions and engineering drawings.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and workmanship standards are met.
Safely operate hand and power tools and maintain equipment in good working condition.
Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and tolerance specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through regular housekeeping activities.
Support and participate in 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Keep informed of production priorities and adjust work accordingly to meet schedule requirements.
Report any quality concerns, damaged parts, equipment issues, or production problems to the Supervisor.
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production and quality objectives.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and report any safety concerns.
Participate in training provided by ASCO or external providers.

Education and Experience

Previous cold work or related finishing experience is preferred.
Educational background or experience in a field requiring surface treatment skills, such as Automotive Body Work, is considered a strong asset.
Previous manufacturing experience is considered an asset.
Basic blueprint reading skills with the ability to understand and interpret drawing tolerances and specifications preferred.
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Good written and spoken English.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to accommodate flexible work schedules, including shift work.

Applicants must have the ability, or willingness to learn:

Basic blueprint reading, to understand and interpret drawing tolerance specifications.
Aerospace specification requirements
Quality system requirements
Safe operation of hand and power tools

This is a physically demanding job and requires the following:

Excellent hand and eye coordination
Ability to perform metal finishing work while standing for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs (cranes and lifting devices are available)
Safe use of hand and power tools
Ability to wear extensive Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout their shift.
