Allied Universal is currently seeking professional Security Guards to join our team in Saint John’s, Newfoundland.

As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, monitoring site activities, and responding to situations requiring professionalism, sound judgment, and effective communication.

Employment Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Must have resided in Canada for the past five (5) years.

Valid Security Guard License.

Valid First Aid certification.

Valid driver’s license.

Customer Service certification (mandatory).

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is an asset.

Experience with CCTV, access control, or alarm systems is an asset.

High school diploma (or equivalent) or relevant work experience.

Must successfully complete a five (5)-year background investigation.

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Control access points and verify authorization for entry onto the site.

Conduct regular security patrols to ensure the protection of the property.

Monitor site activities and report any unusual or suspicious situations.

Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.

Monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.

Complete clear and accurate incident reports.

Ensure compliance with site procedures, security policies, and client requirements.

Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and client partners.

Professional, reliable, and punctual.

Observant with strong attention to detail.

Able to remain calm and effective in emergency or unexpected situations.

Skilled in communication and customer service.

Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team.
