Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are kept in excellent condition, promoting a healthy and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall maintenance and appearance of our organization’s premises through reliable cleaning and facilities upkeep.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas
Conduct commercial cleaning to meet health and safety standards
Maintain cleanliness of offices, hallways, lobbies, and other designated spaces
Assist with basic facilities maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and reporting larger issues to management
Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored
Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Adhere to established schedules for cleaning routines to ensure timely completion of duties

Requirements

Proven experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred; experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely
Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety procedures
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining facility standards
