Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Landscape Foreman to join our team of professionals. We specialize in uniquely designed residential landscape construction projects that include interlocking pavers, natural stone steps and features, garden walls, planting beds, landscape lighting, and carpentry. Our team is highly skilled and we pride ourselves in our craftsmanship and customer service. We value our employees and offer specialized training to build on their skill sets. Foremen also qualify for health benefits after 1 year of employment, and qualify for profit sharing immediately.

Responsibilities and Duties

Our Foremen are responsible for leading a crew of 3 - 5, delegating tasks to, and working with them to complete high quality landscape construction projects accurately and efficiently. Foremen are responsible for understanding their plans and accurately translating each design to the real world.

Our Foremen work with our Project Manager to ensure each project is completed to the highest standard of quality and on time. Foremen are also responsible for the onsite safety and cleanliness of their crew. Our Foremen will have a broad range of construction elements to complete and oversee, we do it all!

All employees are required to have their own transportation to and from the jobsite. Employees are required to be at work on time and work diligently with attention to detail.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have a positive attitude and have a passion for landscaping and the outdoors.

Applicants must have at least 5 years of experience in landscape construction, or at least 1 year of experience as a Foreman on a landscape construction crew. Experience in another construction field is an asset, but not required.

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in operating a variety of power tools and typical landscape construction equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, etc.

Applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in driving and operating a typical 1 ton truck with a dump box.

Applicants must be able to read and interpret basic 2 dimensional scaled drawings and have basic computer literacy.

Applicants must also have a G class license with a clean drivers abstract. An A or DZ class license is an asset.

Pay: $30.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
