Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Cashier/Sales Assistant (Part-Time or Full-Time) to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and assisting customers with product information and demonstrations. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills and experience in technology or retail sales are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and sales opportunities.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services
Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
Process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently while maintaining accuracy
Conduct product demos and provide detailed information about merchandise, especially in technology sales
Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities
Maintain merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is organized and inviting
Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers during busy periods
Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times
Support inventory management by restocking shelves as needed

Skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or technical sales preferred
Proficiency with POS systems and basic math for transaction accuracy
Bilingual abilities (English plus additional languages) are a plus for serving diverse customers
Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
Organizational skills to manage merchandising, stock levels, and customer flow efficiently
Ability to perform product demos confidently, especially in technology or electronics sectors
Time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
Upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
