Job Summary

Join our team as an Arborist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting tree care and landscape maintenance projects. This energetic position offers hands-on experience working alongside professional arborists to ensure healthy, safe, and beautiful urban and suburban environments. You will assist with a variety of tasks that promote the health and safety of trees while gaining valuable skills in horticulture, rigging, and equipment operation. Paid and rewarding, this role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their expertise in arboriculture and landscape management.

Responsibilities

Assist with tree pruning, trimming, planting, and removal to maintain safety and aesthetic appeal.
Support rigging operations by setting up ropes, pulleys, and safety gear for climbing or lowering large limbs.
Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high branches safely during tree care activities.
Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, mulching, planting, and debris cleanup to enhance site appearance.
Help with equipment setup, inspection, and maintenance to ensure safe operation of tools like chainsaws, trimmers, and bucket trucks.
Follow safety protocols diligently while assisting with complex tasks involving rigging or working at heights.

Skills

Strong interest in landscape maintenance, arboriculture, or environmental sciences.
Good physical condition with the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Candidate must have a strong work ethic.
