Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) to provide on-site medical support and emergency response services at industrial and oil and gas project sites throughout BC. The ACP plays a critical role in maintaining a safe working environment by delivering immediate medical care, assisting with incident response, and supporting overall site safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

Emergency Medical Response:

Provide immediate medical assessment, treatment, and stabilization for injured or ill personnel
Respond to workplace incidents, emergencies, and medical calls
Coordinate with external emergency services when advanced medical care or transportation is required
Maintain readiness to respond quickly to emergencies at all times

Safety Support

Assist with site safety monitoring and hazard identification
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
Promote safe work practices and compliance with company safety procedures
Support site emergency preparedness plans and response protocols

Medical Equipment Management

Maintain and inspect all medical kits, supplies, and emergency response equipment
Ensure all equipment is properly stocked, maintained, and ready for use
Maintain accurate and confidential patient care and incident documentation

Training & Compliance

Participate in emergency response drills and safety exercises
Maintain required certifications and ensure training remains current
Complete company required training programs and site orientations

Qualifications

Valid Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) certification.
Current registration/license with the provincial regulatory body
Valid ACLS & CPR certification.
Valid H2S Alive certification.
Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
·Ability to work rotational shifts at remote industrial sites.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Rotational work schedules depending on project requirements.
Exposure to outdoor environments and industrial worksite conditions.
Long shifts (typically 10–12 hours) in physically demanding settings.

Conditions of Employment:

Proof of eligibility to work in Canada.
Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, and Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certifications.
Completion of Phoenix DATS Training and New Hire Orientation.
Completion of site-specific orientations and any additional safety requirements.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
