Job Overview

Join our vibrant team as an Ice Cream Scooper, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused attitude will create memorable experiences for every guest! In this lively role, you'll be the face of our fun-filled ice cream shop, serving up delicious treats with a smile. Your energy and attention to detail will ensure smooth operations, maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation, and help customers indulge in their favorite flavors. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop valuable skills in food service, customer interaction, and team collaboration while enjoying a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
Use proper food handling techniques to scoop, serve, and package ice cream efficiently and hygienically.
Operate the POS system, to process transactions accurately and handle cash or card payments with confidence.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with food safety standards.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while upselling additional items or upgrades.
Follow all food industry regulations regarding food safety, sanitation, and proper storage procedures.
Support team members by assisting with basic kitchen tasks or restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth shop operations.

Requirements

Prior food service experience or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential!
Familiarity with cashiering, cash handling, and POS systems.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and engage positively with guests.
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash register operations.
Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality service.
