Full job description

CAD Mechanical Designer

Location: Barrie, ON
Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 per year
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated CAD Mechanical Designer to join our client in Barrie, ON. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SolidWorks and have experience with pipe and tank design. This is a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects, requiring excellent organization and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. This is a temp to permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and modify mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
Assist in the design of pipes, tanks, and related mechanical components.
Coordinate closely with the Project Manager and Sales Team to ensure project requirements are met.
Maintain accurate documentation and drawings in compliance with company standards.
Adapt to a busy work environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Contribute positively to team discussions, learning from feedback and collaborating effectively.

Qualifications:

Minimum three years experience in a similar role.
Experience in pipe and tank design is preferred.
Proficiency in SolidWorks is required.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Willingness to learn, open to feedback, and a good listener.
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
