Employment Opportunity

Customer Service Representative - Hiring Pool (multiple openings) This Hiring Pool will be used to fill temporary openings for front counter finance services over the next several months. Expected shifts are between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM based in either the Annapolis Royal or Middleton location. This is a casual position, with opportunity to temporarily fill full-time hours during vacation periods. You may be called upon to work on short notice.

Rate of Pay: Pay Band 3: $29 - $37 Hourly

The County of Annapolis is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Finance team! This is an opportunity to work amongst the breathtaking natural beauty of the Bay of Fundy shoreline and the lush Annapolis River, where you will be captivated by coastal communities, towns, village, historic properties and stunning parks that are the pride of our county. Annapolis County is an ideal location to live, work and play.

The Customer Service Representative is a front-facing resident service role, responsible for accepting payments, preparing daily cash balancing, processing applications, and other administrative duties.

Qualifications and Expectations

Education: Preferably, candidates should have a certificate or diploma in accounting, business, finance, or a similar program.

Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years in a front-facing customer service role, ideally in an accounting or public sector environment.

Knowledge: Knowledge of municipal taxation and/or general accounting principles is an asset.

Requirements: Candidates must obtain a criminal records check to work for the Municipality of the County of Annapolis. This position will occasionally work outside of normal office hours, including evenings.

Core Competencies

Customer Service: Ability to provide prompt and friendly service to residents.

Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and empathetically to members of the public and other Municipality departments.

Organizational Skills: Multitasking multiple requests, processing documents efficiently, and keeping the reception area orderly.

Technical Proficiency: Fluency with the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to understand and utilize financial software.
