Posting: Teaching Position for the following:

Part Time Elementary Support Teacher

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Summit Academy is a co-educational independent school founded in 2017 with students in Junior Primary to Grade 9. Academic rigour, active learning – both in and out of the classroom – and daily physical activity are the foundation of our Academy’s approach to educating passionate learners. We also offer sport-specific programming, as well as athletic clubs that participate in interscholastic sports to enhance our school spirit and community feel. Education is a gift and educating children is not only our passion, but also one of the greatest responsibilities we have as a society.

We are seeking enthusiastic and innovative applicants to become part of our highly engaged, progressive, and professional faculty for the position listed above. Candidates with strong classroom management skills are preferred. Candidates will be adept at, and comfortable using, technology to supplement and support curriculum development and delivery. Ideal candidates will enjoy working with young children and be comfortable supporting students in a variety of classroom settings. Candidates will work closely with teachers and staff, build positive relationships with students, and be flexible in responding to the day-to-day needs of an elementary school.

Qualifications:

ECE Level 1
Experience teaching or supporting elementary-aged students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
A commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Flexibility to support students across multiple grades and classrooms.
Passion for elementary education and a dedication to supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of young learners.
Confidence using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
A genuine passion for helping children learn and thrive.

All candidates must have permanent residency status or citizenship in Canada. In addition, Summit Academy is committed to providing a safe educational environment for our students and staff.
