Responsibilities

Layout and fabricate precision welds and elements from blueprints and engineering concepts
Operate various metal forming and cutting machines such as Rollers, Shears, Iron Worker, Brakes, Drill Presses, and Saws.
Rigging and Operation of lifting and material handling equipment such as Overhead Cranes, Gantries, and Forklifts
Train and assist Junior Welder/Fabricators if needed
Work on diversified and complex situations. Solutions to problems will require the use of independent judgment following policies and procedures.
Ability to adjust, troubleshoots, and operates all types of welding machines.
Knowledgeable on gasses and filler metals
Solid experience with Welding Safety and OSHA requirements
Perform assembly, overhaul, and repair of propulsion systems and electrical rotating apparatus.
Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
Conduct quality inspections on assembled components.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

3-5 years' experience welding all steel and copper components utilizing GTAW (TIG), and SMAW (Shielded metal Arc) Welding Process
Strong mechanical knowledge related to electrical rotating equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
Familiarity with crane operation is preferred.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Excellent hand tool and power tool proficiency.
Commitment to safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
Prior experience in the rail or wind industries is a plus.
High Proficiency in blueprint reading and layout technique
Ability to work all shifts
