Full job description

Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator supports engineering and project execution by creating and updating drawings, maintaining 3D models, managing documentation, checking work for accuracy, and helping coordinate project tasks.

This role is hands-on and works closely with a small team, supporting both engineering and shop/production activities to keep projects organized and moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting & Design

Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor from sketches, notes, and verbal instructions.
Develop and update engineering drawings, assemblies, layouts, and fabrication packages.
Translate basic engineering ideas into clear, accurate drawings.
Make updates to drawings and models as changes come in from engineering or fabrication.
Ensure drawings follow company standards and are clear for manufacturing use.

Drawing Control & Quality

Review drawings and models before release for accuracy and completeness.
Check dimensions, tolerances, BOMs, and revision history.
Find and correct errors or missing information in drawings.
Keep drawing files and revisions organized and up to date.

Project Support & Coordination

Help organize project meetings, including scheduling and basic agendas.
Take meeting notes and track action items.
Support project timelines by keeping drawings and documents updated.
Communicate with engineering, shop staff, and suppliers when needed.
Assist with day-to-day project coordination tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor’s degree or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, Engineering Design, or related field.

Skills

Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
Good understanding of technical drawings and basic manufacturing concepts.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
Comfortable communicating with engineers and shop staff.
Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
