Sr. Service Technician: Audio, Video and Security Department

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $26.00 - $35.00 based off of experience

Schedule:

8-hour shift
Monday to Friday
On call
Overtime
Some out-of-town/overnight travel

Location:

Sudbury, ON: current resident or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Basic knowledge or understanding of:

P.A. Systems
CCTV
Security Systems
Nurse Call Systems or
Door Access Systems
Low Voltage systems
Mechanical knowledge
Knowledge and ability to work with power tools

Education:

High School Diploma
Vocational diploma, college certificate or diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation or related field

Roles and Responsibilities:

Install , configure and repair Nurse call systems, CCTV systems, Public Address systems, Alarm systems
Knowledge of interpreting schematics
Organize and prioritize work
Analyze and resolve problems
Ensure proper cable management, wiring, and adherence to electrical and safety standards.
Troubleshoot and fix technical issues
Be responsible for equipment and vehicle
Take daily inventory of the equipment needed for the job
Work collaboratively with management and colleagues
Install and repair telecommunications equipment and products
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Some networking or electrical experience an asset
Experience with CCTV, security systems, or similar work
Basic knowledge of wiring and low-voltage systems
Have steel toe safety boots and hard hat
Have own basic tools (screwdriver, wire cutters, drills, etc.)
A valid driver’s license with acceptable driver abstract
Ability to work with small power tools, mechanically inclined
Ability to work in different weather conditions
Ability to work at heights
Ability to distinguish colors
Flexibility to work different schedules overtime and on-call
Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written
Awareness of occupational health and safety and quality of work
Must pass the security police check
