Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our client's team and assist with a variety of outdoor landscaping projects. This role involves hands-on work in landscape maintenance, construction, and horticulture, supporting the creation and upkeep of beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for gardening and outdoor work, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery such as riding and walking lawn mowers, trimmers, excavators and power tools to support construction and landscaping tasks.
Assist with landscape installation, including planting, grading, and soil preparation.
Conduct gardening activities such as planting, pruning, mulching, and watering.
Maintain landscape features through regular upkeep and seasonal adjustments.
Support construction projects by assisting with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup.
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

Prior experience or familiarity with landscaping, horticulture, or gardening is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery like riding lawn mowers, excavators and power tools is a plus.
Basic understanding of irrigation systems, horticulture and landscape maintenance techniques an asset.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
Knowledge of construction practices related to outdoor projects is advantageous.
Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills and responsibilities.
Valid G Class Driver License and reliable transportation required.
