Short-Form Content Strategist & Editor
Overview
We're looking for a hands-on content creator who understands how to build and grow short-form content accounts through real experience, not just theory. This role goes beyond editing. It requires someone who can help shape the direction of our social presence, turn ideas into high-performing content, and consistently improve quality and engagement.
What You'll Do

Edit and produce high-quality short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)
Take raw ideas and turn them into clear, engaging, value-driven content
Cut through unnecessary fluff and improve pacing, clarity, and retention
Identify trends and formats that align with the brand and audience
Support scripting and structure for content when needed
Maintain consistency in posting and overall content direction
Help organize and manage content workflows and priorities
Keep projects on track and ensure content aligns with clear objectives

What We're Looking For

Proven experience growing social media accounts, ideally ~30K+ followers; open to candidates still establishing themselves as freelancers if their portfolio shows strong instincts and results
Strong portfolio of short-form content you've personally created or edited
Deep understanding of what performs in value-driven, educational content
Strong editing skills with an eye for pacing, storytelling, and engagement
Ability to simplify ideas and make content more interesting and digestible
Proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
Willingness to bring structure, direction, and accountability to the process

What This Role Is Not:

This isn't a basic content scheduler or clipper role, and it isn't for someone who simply follows instructions without input. It also isn't focused on vanity metrics or purely influencer-style content.

Location & Work Arrangement

This is an in-person role based in Calgary, with regular on-site filming days required; it isn't remote or hybrid-flexible, so consistent local availability is essential. It's a fractional engagement rather than a traditional part-time role, and hours and scope will flex with the work over time.
