Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated First Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service. As a First Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the kitchen team in delivering an outstanding dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a dynamic and professional environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Support meal preparation for large or special events as needed
Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality presentation of dishes
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within a restaurant or food service environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
Strong skills in serving, meal preparation, and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
