Overview

We are a 4 Diamond Resort seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to lead and oversee our food service operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, team management, and hotel management skills, along with a solid background in the food industry. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining exceptional service quality in a dynamic hospitality environment. The Executive Sous Chef will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and fostering a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise multiple-outlet restaurant staff, banquets, including cooks, servers, and kitchen personnel, to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality standards and consistency
Manage food handling procedures to comply with safety regulations and ensure food safety standards are met
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards
Coordinate with the team to deliver excellent customer service and enhance guest satisfaction
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen resources efficiently
Train new staff members on food safety, service protocols, and company policies
Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all areas
Lead by example in delivering outstanding hospitality experiences while fostering a positive work environment

Skills

Current Executive Sous Chef or Sous Chef in upscale hotel setting
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively
Extensive restaurant, banquet management experience with a focus on operations, staff development, and customer service
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
Experience in food handling, kitchen operations, and hospitality services
Excellent communication skills for serving guests and managing staff interactions
Ability to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with health regulations and safety protocols in the food industry
Demonstrated ability to lead teams with professionalism and a focus on quality service
