Full job description

Location: Whitby, ON, fully on-site
Language: Strong written and spoken English communication skills
Duration: 2-month contract, with potential for extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

About the Opportunity
Join a dynamic team where strong records and information management practices help keep day-to-day operations organized, compliant, and efficient. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring information is accessible when teams need it most.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to support document control, retention, digital filing, and audit readiness. Your attention to detail will make an immediate impact by strengthening recordkeeping practices and supporting reliable business processes across the organization.

Your Responsibilities

You’ll organize and maintain records, ensuring accurate classification and alignment with corporate retention schedules.
You’ll monitor document lifecycles, including retention, archiving, and disposal processes.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure records are captured accurately and remain accessible.
You’ll support audits and information requests by retrieving documentation in a timely, organized manner.
You’ll identify opportunities to improve records management processes and increase efficiency.
You’ll maintain electronic and physical records using document management software and Microsoft Office tools.

Skills and Qualifications

2+ years of experience in records management, document control, or administrative support.
Familiarity with records retention policies, filing systems, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency with document management software and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
