About Us:

Cowan Buick GMC is a trusted and community-focused automotive dealership proudly serving Bowmanville and the surrounding areas. We are committed to providing an exceptional customer experience through honesty, transparency, and top-tier service. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Licensing and Administrative Associate to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Licensing and Administrative Associate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day dealership operations, ensuring all vehicle licensing, registration, and administrative processes are completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and preferably holds a valid OMVIC license.

This role is a part time position with possibility to lead to full time.

Key Responsibilities:

Process all vehicle licensing, transfers, and registration paperwork in compliance with Ontario laws and regulations
Prepare and review sales documents, lease agreements, and delivery paperwork
Ensure accuracy in documentation and timely submission to appropriate government agencies
Communicate with sales, finance, and service departments to ensure seamless customer experience
Maintain organized filing systems (physical and digital) for customer and vehicle records
Provide general administrative support to the sales and management teams
Assist with inventory management and reporting as needed
Support front-desk reception duties when required

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business administration or a related field is an asset
Previous experience in an automotive dealership environment is preferred
OMVIC certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Friendly, professional demeanor and a team-oriented mindset
