About Goldies Cafe

Goldies Cafe is a fast-paced, community-focused cafe dedicated to serving quality food, exceptional coffee, and warm hospitality. We're looking for an experienced and reliable Key Holder / Supervisor who can lead by example, support daily operations, and help create an outstanding experience for our guests.

Position Overview

As a Key Holder / Supervisor, you will play a hands-on leadership role within the cafe. This position requires someone who is comfortable balancing supervisory responsibilities with front-line operational duties, including customer service, food preparation, and maintaining cafe standards.

The ideal candidate is dependable, energetic, organized, and enjoys working alongside the team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

Open and/or close the cafe according to established procedures
Lead shifts and provide guidance and support to team members
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally
Assist with scheduling, training, and team development as needed
Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are maintained
Handle cash management, deposits, and daily reporting responsibilities
Support inventory management and stock replenishment
Work in a functional role during shifts, including:
Preparing menu items and beverages
Operating cafe equipment
Serving guests at the counter
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Step into various positions as needed to support business demands

Qualifications

Previous supervisory, shift lead, or key holder experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Comfortable working in a hands-on operational role throughout each shift
Experience with food preparation and food safety practices is an asset
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
