Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction trades, including carpentry, masonry, electrical work, plumbing, and concrete finishing. This role involves performing a variety of hands-on tasks to support construction projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial builds, with a focus on precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute project tasks accurately
Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently
Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and tile laying to meet project specifications
Perform carpentry tasks such as cabinet installation, framing, and general woodwork
Conduct masonry work including bricklaying and concrete work as needed
Support plumbing and electrical installations following technical drawings and safety protocols
Execute caulking, painting, restoration work, and flooring installation to ensure high-quality finishes
Estimate materials and labor requirements for assigned tasks in collaboration with project managers
Maintain a clean and organized work site while adhering to safety regulations at all times
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction or related trades such as carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, or concrete finishing
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction estimates effectively
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and specialized trade skills (e.g., welding) is highly desirable
Knowledge of construction safety practices and protocols
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor including lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions
Valid <PERSON> (if applicable) or relevant certifications/licenses preferred but not mandatory
