A day in the life of a Cook:
You are committed to service excellence and pride yourself in exceeding dining expectations by contributing to a culinary experience of the highest quality, consistency and creativity. Under the direction of the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for daily meal preparation from pre-determined menus, ensuring food quality and presentation meets fine dining standards and contributes to the smooth operation of the kitchen.
How do I qualify?
You must have:

Valid Safe Food Handling Certificate

Education certificate from an approved Culinary Institute

Minimum three years of experience in a variety of dining environments, Hotel and fine dining preferred
What we are looking for:

Previous batch cooking experience for 100+ people

Ability to cook from scratch - soups, sauces, etc

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays

Excellent time management skills

Excellent organizational skills
-
Ability to work on their feet for long periods of time

Capable of lifting and carrying 15kgs

The ability to work independently but remain part of the team

English written and verbal communication skills
