Full job description

We are seeking a skilled Dental receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.

Minimum 1 year of experience as a dental administrator or dental receptionist
Experience in optimization of scheduling patient appointments
Solid understanding of dental insurance
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience maintaining a professional level of patient privacy
Experience using Dentrix is an asset.
Sound knowledge of dental terminology.
Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
Good telephone etiquette.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Dental assisting knowledge is an asset
Should be available to alternate some evenings and Saturdays

Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:

Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
Assisting patients to fill out information forms.
Scheduling follow-up appointments and calling for reminders.
Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
Submitting claims to insurance, coordinating payments, etc.
Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying and filing.
