Full job description

Today, Harv Wilkening Transport provides Less-Than-Truckload and Full-Truckload services throughout Canada. With more than 60 years of experience and trusted tools, Harv Wilkening gets the job done right every time.

Harv Wilkening Transport Ltd., requires Independent Contractors for our Domestic Fleet. This position is running open dispatch, 10 days on and up to 4 days off within BC, AB, SK, MB and ON.

Responsibilities

Pickup and delivery of freight in a safe and efficient manner

Handle freight and freight documents

Perform Pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks

Professional communication with customers

Ensure 100% compliance with safety

Perform all other duties as requested

DUTIES WILL VARY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE OPERATION

We Offer

Compensation: Earn up to $1.95/mile

Other Compensation: Paid Orientation, and Achievable Safety Bonus - Paid Three Times Per Year

Stability: Full Time, Steady Hours and Consistent Year Round Work

Safety: Safety-Oriented Company with a Safety Program in Place

Property: New Equipment and Upgraded Facilities

People: Consistent and Supportive Operations Team and Excellent Dispatch Team

Programs: $1,000 Referral Program, Health and Wellness, Corporate RecognitionNo paint code, National Fleet Account for tires, Paid Licensing, Paid Insurance (first $15,000), Paid decaling and Satellite Install

Qualifications

Class 1A driver’s license

Minimum 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience

Must own your own truck (5 years or newer)

Ability to drive in all terrains

Experience with heaters and reefers

Professional appearance and good hygiene

Safe driving record verified by a current drivers abstract

Ability to perform all duties without restriction
