DCDSB invites qualified Educational Assistants (EA) to apply for our Casual/Supply EA employment opportunities.

Applicants require the following qualifications:

Two (2) or three (3) year diploma from a recognized Community College in an area related to Special Education or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Ability to work with all children including a wide variety of students with special needs.
Support the Gospel values and philosophy of Inclusion
Three (3) to Six (6) months previous related experience and/or job placement.

Preferred but not required qualifications include:

UMAB and/or CPI and/or NVCI qualification
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) Training
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Training
Assistive Technology Software
Augmentative Communication
Safe Back Care or Lifting Ambulation

Applications must include a resume and cover letter referring to educational and related field experience, Criminal Reference Check (within 1 year), evaluations (at least two), professional references (3) any other information supporting your application.
