P.R.Y.D.E. Learning Centres is a non-profit, community-based child care organization. We offer programs ranging from Infant to School age at various locations across the Durham Region.
Position: Registered Early Childhood Educator
Location: Whitby and Ajax
Status: Full Time - Split Shift
Hourly Rate: $25.50/hour plus $2/hour in a Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant for regular hours worked
What we need from you:
- A passion for working with children
- Experience working with School Age children
- Strong interpersonal skills to gain the trust and respect of children and their parents
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
- Second Language is an asset
- Demonstrated skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment
- The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Experience in planning and implementing programs
- 1 – 3 years experience working in the child care field is preferred
- A current (less than 6 months old) Criminal Check & Vulnerable Sector Search
- Intermediate CPR / First Aid Level C Certification
- Up to date immunizations including 2 step TB (Tuberculosis) test
