Residential Cleaning Responsibilities – Brookly Home Care Specialists
As a Home Care Specialist with Brookly, you may be responsible for performing a variety of residential cleaning services, including:
Basic / Regular Cleaning Tasks:
Performed weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
- Dusting all surfaces (furniture, shelves, baseboards, etc.)
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms (toilets, sinks, tubs, mirrors)
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces (counters, stovetops, sinks)
- Wiping down exterior of appliances and cabinets
- Emptying trash and replacing liners
- Light spot-cleaning of walls and doors
Deep Cleaning Tasks:
Typically performed on a one-time or seasonal basis.
Includes all tasks from Basic Cleaning, plus:
- Cleaning baseboards, doors, and door frames in detail
- Inside and behind appliances (fridge, oven, etc.)
- Interior windows and window sills
- Ceiling fans and light fixtures
- Cabinet interiors (if requested)
- Heavy buildup removal (soap scum, limescale, grease)
Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning:
A full top-to-bottom clean to prepare homes for sale, lease, or occupancy.
- Deep cleaning of all rooms and surfaces
- Interior and exterior of all cabinets and drawers
- Inside all kitchen appliances
- Thorough bathroom sanitization
- Baseboards, walls, switches, and vents
- Removal of dust, debris, and minor scuff marks
- Final walkthrough to ensure the property is ready for handover
Post-Construction / Renovation Cleaning:
Detailed cleaning after building or remodeling work.
- Removal of dust and debris from all surfaces
- Cleaning walls, baseboards, trim, and ledges
- Wiping down all fixtures, windows, and doors
- Polishing surfaces and removing adhesive residues or paint splatter
- Vacuuming and mopping floors multiple times as needed
- Ensuring the space is safe, clean, and move-in ready
What We’re Looking For in a Home Care Specialist:
✔ Minimum 2 years of residential cleaning experience
✔ Your own cleaning equipment and reliable vehicle
✔ Active liability insurance
✔ You’re punctual, professional, and detail-oriented
✔ Available to work in Durham Region and its municipalities (e.g., Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa, Clarington, etc.)
Service Area – Durham Region
Our clients are located throughout Durham Region, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable commuting to jobs in some or all municipalities. Flexibility and local knowledge are a huge plus!
