About Us

Our companies transport finished, used, specialty and high-value vehicles for automobile manufacturers, dealerships, auctions, corporate customers and private individuals. Our continued growth is built on experienced people, specialized equipment, safe and efficient processes, integrated technology and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team and support the accounting function across our group of companies.

The Position

The Accounting Clerk will support the day-to-day accounting activities of the CCT Group of Companies. The role will work collaboratively with the accounting team and assist with a variety of accounting functions across the group.

The automotive transportation industry involves specialized processes and integrated technology platforms. The successful candidate will be a fast learner who is comfortable working with technology and ready to develop an understanding of how billing, payroll and operational information flows between the group’s systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

The ideal candidate will be organized, accurate and able to manage multiple priorities in a growing, deadline-driven environment. The role offers the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as the needs of the group and the accounting team develop.

Key Responsibilities

Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and other day-to-day accounting activities
Process and reconcile accounting transactions
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
Assist with month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
Review accounting information for accuracy and assist in resolving discrepancies
Respond to accounting-related inquiries from vendors, customers and internal team members
Provide general support to the accounting team across the CCT Group of Companies
Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as required

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in accounting, business or a related field is preferred
At least two years of relevant accounting experience
Professional, dependable and committed to accuracy and teamwork, with strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Comfortable working with technology and learning integrated accounting and operational systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Magnus LMS would be considered an asset
Previous accounting experience in the transportation industry would be considered an asset
